RF MICRONEEDLING
What exactly is RF Microneedling?
It is a treatment that causes a controlled injury to the skin to stimulate and increase collagen up to 300% when done in a series.
What should I expect?
You should expect to be red and feel tightness, much like a sunburn, for 24-48 hours.
What are the benefits of RF Microneedling?
RF Microneedling stimulates collagen, decreases and tightens pores, treats acne scars, lightens discoloration in the skin, heals/treats acne scarring, results in improvement of post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation, and melasma, improves stretch marks, diminishes wrinkles, improves skin texture, and firms and tightens skin.
What does it treat?
Acne scars, fine lines, laxity, pore size, skin texture, dullness of skin, stretch marks, pigment, and overall skin rejuvenation.
How is it done?
The hand-piece is moved across your skin at different depths and energy levels to stimulate collagen.
Does it hurt?
It is generally not painful as a topical numbing cream is used to make the treatment comfortable! There may be slight discomfort in some areas that is tolerable.
How long does a treatment take?
Approximately 60 minutes. This includes 30 minutes of numbing time.
What will my skin look like after RF Microneedling?
Your skin will look pink, red, or flushed and may look like a sunburn anywhere from 24-48 hours, by the 3rd day you should notice that the redness has gone down tremendously. The channels we create may be visible for 7-10 days after treatment.
How often should it be done?
A series of 3-6 sessions spaced approximately 4-6 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results. After your skin goals have been reached, it can be done for maintenance when needed (approx. every 3-6 months).
What is the aftercare like?
Your home care is extremely important for the healing process to ensure you heal without complication, and that you maximize the benefits of your treatment! You will be provided with home care instructions and specific products to use during the first few days of healing.
Are there any restrictions on who can be treated?
Not suitable for patients who are pregnant, nursing, or have been on Accutane within the last year.
